Founded in 1892 and situated barely five miles east of the city of Manchester and two miles west of Ashton-Under-Lyne, Fairfield Golf and Sailing Club, to give it its full title, is a great course for all levels of player. Don't be surprised if you hear it being called a 'hidden gem' - this course has all the attributes associated with a hidden gem. Fairfield is 5,664-yard parkland course that's set around a reservoir, so it enjoys quite a unique location compared to the other courses in the area.
